Meet Our "Pet Pits"
All of ours have fantastic temperaments, and most of them come from the same bloodlines!! All of them live in our home with us, just like the family dog(s) . . . but as responsibile multiple dog owners, we NEVER leave our dogs together alone - unsupervised. Why ask for trouble? After all . . . dogs are dogs . . . regardless of breed!

"Miss Bailey"
|
Int CH UKC CH West Winds Heavenly By Far, TDI, CGC
Compared to the others, Miss Bailey's our little "China Doggie". Nicknamed for her more feminine build & fragile feelings. Her sensitivity made her my wonderfully reliable service dog for the past 6 years, during which time we earned one leg towards her CD obedience title. Unfortunately declining health issues have forced my beautiful girl into an early retirement at the age of nine years old. She now spends her time lounging around the house waiting for "mom and dad" to come home. Miss Bailey is a tremendous asset to the PetPit family, and helped give me the independence back that I lost after my debilitating accident.

CH 'PR' WestWinds Picture Perfect
Meet Tyra! She came to us from my good friend Dina of WestWinds Kennels! Tyra makes a great addition to the PetPit family! Doug & Tyra have graduated basic obedience classes, and hope to continue on with Beyond Basic classes later in the Summer of 2009. With dad (Doug) deploying with his job, they get lots of breaks in training! They're both hoping to start up with weightpull soon too . . . SO . . . watch for them in the weight pull barn as she attempts to earn her UWP!!

Int'l Nat'l JU.A Ch, UWPO GRCH UWPCHX 'PR' Miakodas AboveNBeyond of JoLib, CGC OFA ca - UKC Total Dog!!
Meet "Koda", or "Meister" as he's known in the weight pull barn!! Koda came to us from Miakoda Kennels in Michigan. He's an offspring of a fantastic breeding between GRCH WestWinds National Legacy and Int'l Ch Nat'l Ch FO UWP UACH UCD GR CH 'PR' Marauders Klickitat of Vintage DNA-VIP TT CGC TDI. Koda Meister has quite efficiently stepped into the pawprints of recently retired Miss Bailey as my service dog! Meister secured the #7 spot in the UKC top 25 Weight Pull Allstars in 2007, and finished his grand championship on September 27, 2008, under Honorable Judge Warren Shivers!! Because of an injury, Meister's been on a bit of a vacation, but seems to be healed up rather nicely and ready to start pulling again to earn that last 5 rail points he needs for his last pull title - his UWPCHS (United Weight Pull Champion Supreme)! Wish us luck!!

"Demoli"

PetPit's Demolition Dawg
Demoli - "Molies" for an even shorter nickname . . . came to us as a foster pup, who at a very young age - TOO young - found herself sitting in the shelter hoping/dreaming for a home of her own. At the age of about 8 -10 weeks old, D.R.A.W. pulled her and sent her our way, where she's been still waiting for her own home since February 2008! Since then, we've been battling a case a reoccuring demodex - earning her the loving nickname of "Momma's nekked girl Molies"! Becasue of the Demodex, she's pretty much unadoptable. This beautiful little girl has a temperament to die for - she loves eveything and everybody! She's my little berry-pickin' buddy, and chicken wranglin' dawg! This vibrant little girl of unknown lineage earned herself a permanent spot in the PetPit household purely through temperament alone! *grin*

"Pia"
Pia makes life at our house a comedy on an almost daily basis. She loves to harrass the kids - and bare toes are to be chased ALWAYS!! Pia doesn't think twice about climbing down off her cage to come over to any part of the house so she can help herself to whatever it is somebody's eating! She doesn't even seem to notice or care about the dogs she passes as she marches through the house!
This sassy little girl tells us to "knock it off" if we get too loud for her liking . . . or when the little ones are running in the house. If the kids continue to run after being told to knock it off, she simply climbs down from her cage, chasing after them fussing and squealing, with her feathers all ruffled up . . . She tells us "goodnight Pia" when it's bedtime, and utters a soft, sweet "I love you beautiful birrrrrrd" as you cover her for the night. Pia has brought so much joy and amusement to the house!!

"Dayzee"
Dayzee, a Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo who calls herself "Dayzee bee-bee-bee", definitely adds to the comical charm of the PetPit house! A spunky little gal, full of personality, Dayzee's really quite the "momma's girl", who's slowly learning to trust dad too! She loves to spend time out on her perch, but is quick to squaller if I leave the room. And if I'm gone too long? She'll come a looking for me! *grin* Not quite a year old, we look forward to sharing the rest of our lives with this sweet girl.
"Too chat" can often be heard at our house, and it goes a little something like this: "Hi Pia" - "Hi Dayzee bee-bee-bee" . . . and back and forth until Pia gets irritated and tells Dayzee to "knock it off" . . . which is always followed by additional squallering from Dayzee! LOL
